L&G is made up of three complementary businesses, each of which is adding new products and solutions to meet changing customer needs and drive their strategic goals.

Asset Management

Our asset management business is a major global investor across public and private markets. Our clients include individual savers, pension scheme members and global institutions, who invest alongside L&G’s own balance sheet.

Institutional Retirement

We work with companies, DB pension schemes and their advisors to help them secure and protect their scheme members' retirement benefits.

Retail

As a leading UK provider of retirement and protection solutions, we help the customers of today and tomorrow have better long-term financial outcomes.

Our history

We’ve been investing for the long term since 1836. Back then, it meant supporting real estate and Britain’s earliest railways. Nowadays it can cover anything from helping individual savers build their long-term financial resilience to investing millions in communities across the UK. We’re pretty confident in our ability to build better futures for us all, because we’ve been doing it for almost two hundred years.
